In2Food have gone from strength to strength over the years, with the support of the local community and has grown to be one of the largest dedicated catering operations in the region. The key to their success has been their ability to offer a personal touch to every catering job, both big and small. The team acquired the venue "Winehouse" at Gibbston and have established themselves as one of the most sought after food and beverage caterers in the Queenstown-Lakes district. 

With the delivery of 11 Amway China gala dinners at Coronet Peak in 2018, there was opportunity to expand the company to further strengthen the delivery of future events in the region. “I can’t imagine working with a better catering partner than In2food. The team’s attention to detail, from planning to execution, ensured that all 11 events were a success. 600 people is a small number in most cities, but not Queenstown.   All crew work off each gathering on time and on budget, with professionalism and friendliness.  Their fantastic menu options appeal to all delegates with local and sustainable food items as well as their solution oriented approach to problem solving, catering experience and knowledge.”


A little about us:


  • Samantha Collins (who manages the operations of our exclusive venue in Gibbston, Winehouse) acquired shares in In2Food as she saw the growth that had been occurring in the area over recent years. In2Food is the exclusive caterer at all Winehouse events and with Samantha’s many years of experience in every aspect of hospitality and management, her introduction to the company has seen amazing growth at Winehouse. She has also positioned herself as one of the most sought after event organisers in Queenstown.

  • Silke and Thilo Kellner have been working together in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. They began this journey in a small boutique hotel and then moved to a fine dining restaurant in Lake Constance, Germany. In 2010 they moved to New Zealand and worked together at Mudbrick Vineyards on Waiheke Island, before heading to Queenstown in 2012. Since this time Thilo has been the head chef for In2Food and Silke is the Operations Manager. By acquiring a share in In2Food, they have further cemented their working relationship and continue to deliver more exceptional culinary experiences for In2Food’s customers.


  • Andy Thompson (Business Development and Corporate Sales Manager for all of In2Food’s operations outside of The Winehouse) moved to Queenstown in 2017. Originally from Warkworth (North of Auckland), Andy has been in the hospitality industry for more than 20 years and understands the importance of building relationships and creating experiences that will be cherished forever. Over the past 15 years, Andy has lived in Australia and was managing stores in the Woolworths Liquor Group. He then spent some time in Budapest prior to making the move to Queenstown. By securing ownership in In2Food, he sees the long-term value of tourism to the Queenstown region and is excited at the prospects ahead in promoting the area to international and domestic travellers as a destination to hold their next event.


We believe that good food is nothing without great service. In2Food is based on the understanding that food and service are equally dependent when creating the perfect dining experience.

We also appreciate that great food and service are only some of the components which contribute to a successful event-they’re just part of the whole. Therefore, we work hard to understand your requirements, and do our utmost to ensure that the catering perfectly complements the other aspects of the event.

Our team really is a team. We select our team members carefully, and train them rigorously. But at the end of the day, we are like a family. Happy team equals good service… and happy clients. (A truly winning formula).

Like many Queenstown locals, In2Food care deeply about the environment and our town, so we’re thrilled that not only does our ‘buy local’ philosophy support local businesses, but that we can make super-fresh and delicious food from local ingredients, while also keeping our carbon footprint down.  We’re always working on making our business more sustainable and have modified our daily tasks to embrace the sustainable culture.
